Erm… BanClone?

Sounds reasonable…

Except when you see the ongoing fees required to continuously “protect” your identity from potential Display Name griefers. The system works quite similar to the now defunct BanLink system; BanClone may automatically Eject and Ban Avatars who wear inappropriate Display Name tags.

Proceeds are probably going into the pockets of pseudoGambling gaming device (Zyngo) creator Aargle Zymurgy and his friend Lamorna Proctor.

Personally I’m not a fan of such ‘pay me monthly/yearly or get griefed’ schemes. A one-off fee is somewhat acceptable. Mothly/yearly - not so much.

Assuming 500L$ equals US$2.5 and 10,000 Second Life customers subscribe,  the pair would earn US$25,000. Enough to maintain BanClone web server / web hosting fees for five, even ten years - or more.
