Me: I offered for on forums
Other Guy: yes i like that :)
Other Guy: please leave feedback on profile and in thread :) i do same

Zero-risk trade, don't you think? Comments are normally reserved for high-risk trading, such as trading a game key that actually does work for another game.

Sad Farewell - Kirstens Viewer
KirstenLee Cinquetti has ceased development of Kirstens Viewer, citing that his SL/RL Partner, Dawny Daviau, is very ill and that Kirsten can’t continue to work on his bleeding edge viewer and tend to his partner at the same time. Quoting KirstenLee: You may have noticed that the client has not been updated in some time. Sadly Real Life events have taken an unfortunate turn which...

Nymwars, really?
A thought: Handful of people on Twitter (and on the web) seem to be uber-fussed about Pseudonym Wars - dubbed ‘nymwars’ by Google+ Policy Bashers on Twitter and around the web. Why is that? Is it because they want on-line Privacy (against matching their Real Life data with their on-line activities)? Or is it because they secretly support full anonymity (hive, collective, borg...

Copyleftist Cory Doctorow on Pseudonyms
Pseudonymity makes it possible for the most marginalized people in our community to communicate with us; it also allows people who are notorious or famous to join the discussion without dragging in all the baggage of whatever it is they’re known for, making for debates that focus on substance, not celebrity. — Cory Doctorow. Google+ and Pseudonyms
Initial Observations The recent outbreak of Google+ Social Networking policy dissents are staggering. The dissents are all trying to persuade Google to officially allow pseudonyms to use the service. Execs and G+ leads continue to ignore calls by the community to allow the ‘nyms’ to officially stay. Google continues to suspend some pseudonymous G+ users, and people with...

A Very Public Donation
Unexpected donation to the Australian Cancer Council, even though I’m not an Australian Citizen. Initially I was going to give 130 AUD (by bidding on a Virtual Item), but the item owner changed his mind.

 > “14. Bad press or social networking issues get engaged and dispelled or resolved before that reporter has time to finish their coffee.” Extremely horrible suggestion. How would Linden Research ‘dispel or resolve’ such things? Bribe bloggers and journalists? Threaten them with in-world bans? Apply full censorship techniques? The Great Firewall of Linden? Again, extremely horrible...

Chrome's new icon
Google Chrome’s new icon, silently rolled out in Canary and Dev builds of the browser. I still prefer the old Chrome icon. Silent and unnecessary changes part of Google/Chrome’s future, I wonder.

Kurzweil's delusions and Philip Rosedale
I don’t and will not deny the man’s many accomplishments nor the fact that he is genius. But Philip Rosedale fell considerably in my estimation when I saw him in the full throes of his singularity mania ala the Singularity University video. In which he seemed quite enthusiastic to volunteer all us SL users as guinea pig feed to the AI Singularity super brain. Love Machine is...

Second Life Mesh: Dead on Arrival...?
There’s another problem with meshes for content creators: Oskar Linden announced at yesterday’s mesh office hour that no third-party viewer would be permitted to use LL’s mesh upload code in their viewer. It seems that the upload code uses part of the Havok physics library that LL licenses from Intel. […] This means that a content creator will have to exit his...

Elitism
My concern about mesh is that from what I understand, it’s kind of against the accessibility that makes Second Life so great. Instead of being a world created by it’s residents, it’s heading toward a world created by the elite few who have the time and resources to purchase and learn the programs needed to create [the new mesh items] in Second Life. — Amor...

Erm... BanClone?
Sounds reasonable… Except when you see the ongoing fees required to continuously “protect” your identity from potential Display Name griefers. The system works quite similar to the now defunct BanLink system; BanClone may automatically Eject and Ban Avatars who wear inappropriate Display Name tags. Proceeds are probably going into the pockets of pseudoGambling gaming device...

Gaming is NOT a disease
Certain psychology “experts” (along with ignorant parents) believe that Internet use, particularly Gaming, is some type of a psychological disease. Lobbying the Government (and also possibly Insurance Companies) just so they can claim compensation to supposedly “treat” the so-called addicts. Psychiatrists and psychologists receiving calls for help from distressed...

Privacy is Sacred...
I like the idea of accountability, but on the other hand, I obviously despise the notion of a complete and absolute lack of privacy, as it becomes easier and easier to track people down on the net and figure out their past and present, often without allowing people to have any saying about what gets posted and what doesn’t. At this stage, when someone comments: “oh, but if...

The Torley Cult
Yet another round of “St. Torley” Cult celebrations. Not interested whatsoever in worshiping Torley Wong, or any other Linden Research employee. Ringleader Samantha Poindexter denies the fact, but with Philip (Rosedale) equally worshiped, well, you get the picture.
